Our Dunajec River Rafting tour is a full-day adventure. The whole tour lasts for about 8 hours. We suggest the pick-up to be set between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. Our Dunajec River Rafting Tour starts on calm waters in a small village called Sromowce in Pieniny Mountains. Then it heads towards deeper and more rough parts of the river. Our river rafting route runs along the highest peak in Pieniny Mountains – Trzy Korony and lopsided, rocky peak called Sokolica. Dunajec River Gorge makes seven meanders in its length. The scenery is breathtaking.
Standard river rafting tour lasts for around 2 hours 15 minutes. It is 18-kilometres long and ends in Szczawnica. However, there is a possibility to choose a longer, 23-kilometres long tour. It lasts up to 3 hours, ending in Kroscienko. Our driver will be waiting for you in your final destination.
Practical information about rafting trip from Krakow
When your river rafting is finished, you can either have a lunch break or go straight back to Krakow. It is also possible to take a break on your way. You can ask our driver for recommendations. There are no restrictions regarding the age of participants of our private tour. In fact, it is great fun and relax for the whole family. Rafting through the Dunajec river gorge is not considered dangerous, so you do not have to worry about the safety of even the smallest children. Life jackets can be provided upon request. The standard amount of people on one raft is around 12. However, only 5 children can be on one raft at the same time. For your comfort and safety, we can equip our car with an appropriate booster seat or child seat. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. River rafting on Dunajec is available from 1st April to 31st October. You can book our tour with even 1-2 days in advance. In the event of bad weather, we give you a chance to change the date of your tour with one day ahead. So if you worry that on the day of your Dunajec Rafting tour it is going to rain, please contact us in advance. We will change your reservation. It is up to you to choose the date.
The trip on wooden rafting is available daily with the exception of Easter Day and Corpus Cristi. However, weather conditions need to be taken into account. Rafts are operated by professional rafters. They pursue local tradition of river rafting and wear traditional costumes. Most rafters generally speak only Polish.
