Oskar Schindler was a German industrialist who owned an enamel factory in Krakow’s district of Podgorze during World War II and spent almost all of his fortune on saving his Jewish employees. Oskar Schindler’s actions became widely known thanks to Steven Spielberg’s film “Schindler’s list”.
The main exhibition inside the Schindler’s Factory is called “Krakow under Nazi Occupation 1939–1945”. Through its interactive exhibitions, it presents a comprehensive history of Krakow and its citizens (Jews and Poles) during World War II. It consists of documentary photographs, multimedia presentations, historical documents, testimonies and short films, creating a chronological depiction of the fascinating history. Visitors usually spend around 1.5 hours inside the Schindlers museum.
After the tour, our driver will take you back to Krakow city centre. Drop-off points are the same as pick-up points, but you can ask for a drop-off along the way. On a private tour, we provide drop-off directly to your hotel or elsewhere in the city centre.
