In Krakow, seven headquarters are ready to join the fundraising and are currently recruiting volunteers. They have been established at the Higher School of Management and Banking, the Krakow-Podgorze Scout troop, XLII secondary school, Jagiellonian University, Nowa Huta Cultural Centre, Ringier Axel Springer Polska publishing house, and the City Hall of Krakow.
The jubilee finale was announced as the year of great changes. The most important of them is changing the headquarters of the headquarters. The great cooperation with the city of Krakow in the past years has gone one step further. Staff #1099 was officially registered at the Krakow City Hall on All Saints’ Square. It is in the main building of the city that on January 30, 2022, the counting of the collected donations to the cans, which will be brought by this year’s Volunteers, will most likely take place. However, everything will depend on the current situation related to the ongoing pandemic.
What’s more, city institutions and units are very much involved in the activities of the headquarters. One of them is the Krakow Museum. It is there, in the main building of the Krakow Museum, the Krzysztofory Palace, that the registration of volunteers takes place.
On November 26th an official meeting between Jacek Majchrowski, the president of the city, and Piotr Błoński, the chief manager of Kraków’s headquarters, was held. On its part, the City Hall will make the building of the Wielopolski Palace available, where the heart of the Krakow campaign will operate. Traditionally, the Mayor Jacek Majchrowski will donate a unique item for the auction. Last year, it was a fragment of the construction of the Cracovian Skeleton together with a certificate of authenticity, for which over PLN 4,700 was paid.
At 20:00 on the final Sunday we invite everyone to participate in the traditional event called “Lights to the Sky”. In this one moment everyone who is close to the idea of WOŚP, to send a light in any form towards heaven, that is towards the Good Angels.
The jubilee concert will feature the biggest Polish stars and unique musical emotions. On the final stage, bands and singers will play for the benefit of children’s ophthalmology, and the TV and Internet broadcast of the Finale, which will take place on January 30, 2022, will reach all the places where volunteers and donors play to help the youngest.
This year the stage will feature: Band Ira, Apple Blossom, Lemon and De Mono.
Within the Closed Event you can organize a concert, an exhibition, a disco, a sports competition, a workshop or a meeting with an interesting person. There are many possibilities, what counts are creativity and good energy. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the 30th Final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. Admission to the Closed Event should be free or in exchange for a voluntary donation to the volunteer collection box. Remember that there can be no minimum amount for which you can enter the Closed Event.
