Salt Mine Tour

The historic Salt Mine in Wieliczka, placed on Unesco heritage list, is the only site in the world where mining has functioned continuously since the Middle Ages. Its original excavations such as longitudinals, traverses, chambers, lakes and minor and major shafts lie on nine levels and stretch for the total of about 300 kilometres. Reaching the depth of 327 metres they illustrate all the stages of mining technology development over time. St. Anthony’s Chapel and St. Kinga’s Chapel are the most impressive places of the Mine, fully decorated with salt.

Private tours:

Our Private Tour to Salt Mine takes approximately 3,5 hours. The ride with our English-speaking driver lasts for about 30 min each way. The sightseeing of the Salt Mine with a guide is available almost every hour and it takes about 2,5h. You may also consider visiting Salt Mine and Auschwitz-Birkenau or the Schindler’s Factory in one day to save your precious holiday time. After the tour we will drop you off at your hotel or wherever you wish to in Krakow.

The sightseeing of the Salt Mine with an English-speaking guide takes about 2,5h. You may also consider visiting Salt Mine and Auschwitz-Birkenau or the Schindler’s Factory in one day to save your precious holiday time. After the tour we will drop you off at your hotel or wherever you wish to in Krakow.
